Don't waste your money on sites offering offshore 'packages' for thousands of dollars. I bought one of those in 1997.

All I wanted was an (international) merchant account, so I could sell services from my website. These were thin on the ground in 1997, especially in the UK.

So I used one of those websites to get it.

After a couple of years the issuing bank went bankrupt. I also found out the yearly company registration fees weren't being passed on to the national registrar.

An offshore company formation client may be required to supply a clear notarized copy of one of the following documents containing a photograph:

Current drivers' license;
Social security card;
Current valid passport;
Current valid national ID card.

Upon receipt of payment of the deposit, your offshore company formation details will be forwarded to a firm of lawyers, in the country of choice. They will send you an application form for your signature.

The remainder of the fee quoted will then be paid to them, you complete and send them back the application form, and they then will in turn forward it to the national registration office.
